Importing issues

When importing new indicators I'm having problems with the attached error message-saying there is a duplicate file already there on my computer but there is not...

Any help would be appreciated....thanks

Hi Paul,

You can use these steps below to identify the specific issue you're facing when compiling.

Manually copy the source (.cs) files int NinjaScript to "Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator (or strategy)"

After all components are copied you will need to compile the NinjaScript assembly. Go to Tools > Edit NinjaScript and open any file. Press "F5" on your keyboard or the "Compile" button on the toolbar. When compiling you should see a list of errors that need to be addressed before your NinjaScript files will work.

Ryan-thanks for the feedback...I tried that but I don't see an error message in the compiled file although when I try to load the ninascript file I get the message: " you have custom ninjascript files on your pc that have programming errors. These errors must be resolved before you can import a ninjascript archive file"....what I am importing is a price bar-that I downloaded from your site called "point original bars"...I guess it is some errant code?

Then this could be a strong indication that what you are trying to import conflicts with something that is already installed on your NinjaTrader.

What you could try is to manually import the NinjaScript and then running a compile to see what incompatibilities were created. If you decide to go this route you would need to address those issues immediately afterwards or else all of your scripts will not work.

To manually install you can open up the .zip and copy the indicator/strategy files to their respective folder in Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator or \Strategy.
