MACD Hybrid question

In 2003, Appel came up with a variation on his MACD. He just subtracted the fast line from the slow line to create Line1. Then he took and EMA of that for Line2. I don't code in C# (yet) so I was wondering if anyone had seen this in C# or NinjaScript anywhere?

With NinjaTrader 7, you can specify other indicators as your input series. You can apply an EMA to MACD without custom coding.

Yes, I am just learning basic C# right now but overall, this is just a mathematical adjustment to existing code so I am thinking it probably exists somewhere already.

Thanks Dan. I have Ninja 7 so will this self-convert or would it mess up when I tried to compile? Or maybe I have to do something else to it?

I just tried importing into NT7 and it works fine. When asked if you want to replace EMA, just say no to be safe (I don't know if it would overwrite the NT7 version or not). You might then want to export it to have it include the correct EMA file.

Perhaps you can answer what I was wondering about. Would a NT6.5 indicator overwrite a system indicator in NT7?
