Sooo Slow

Hello,

i developed one indicator that uses 10 different time frames at the same time for calculation for plots. For quick development i study only historical data, always i disconnected from live market. Today i tryed this indicator on live market but i dont understand why work so slow at live.

I tested disconnected chart many times. when add my indicator on chart its process take a time 12-13 seconds. Today at live market its process take a time almoust 6 minutes.

Why this difference?

Hello,

The reason this occurs is NinjaTrader always redownoads all the historical data when connected live. If your pulling in a lot of data for 10 different time frames this is the same as if you are 11 charts up each with there own indicator.

The process of data will be slower then if it just pulled the data from the hard drive/database.

Unfortunaley NinjaTrader will always download this data when your connected unless you turn off the download of historical data.
