I understand that one can display charts of different assets in one chart window by the multiple data series option. However, (due to some technical consideration) is there any way to make an indicator that replace the above function? i.e. when using the indicator in a chart, you may select a reference asset and show its price graph. Thanks if any one can help.

What you mentioned is the only way I know of to do this currently. It may be possible to do through NinjaScript however it would be unsupported at this time. I will leave this open for other memebers of the community to respond if anyone has any experience with this.
