setting displacement within code

Hi I am looking to use an indicator which requires a siplacement of 26 bars...I can set this when i add the indicator to a chart - but can you please tell me how I can program the displacement to set at X bars forward automatically?

.... something like this: SMA(Input,period)[displacement]

thx! just looked at the chart and realized that looking back will give me the value i need
