What exactly do you mean by 'Double MA'?Originally posted by dmod1 View PostDoes anybody have the Double MA indicator for NT 7? I have it for NT 6.5 but doesn't work in NT 7. If someone it can you please post or send it to me. THanks
In any case, NT7 does have one: DEMA - comes supplied, only one line of code as follows:
Code:Value.Set(2 * EMA(Inputs[0], Period)[0] - EMA(EMA(Inputs[0], Period), Period)[0]);

Thanks for finding that. It looks a very useful - and especially smooth - indicator.Originally posted by price777999 View Post
Remember to download the ind from post #4 in the thread given in post #4 of this thread. The other links are for earlier versions.
What's very good is that you can choose between a selection of moving average types: EMA, HMA, etc. (In my opinion, HMA is the best of all.)
It's interesting to look at the coding: it's quite complex.Last edited by arbuthnot; 05-02-2015, 07:46 AM.

Just to add that there are arrows indicating the maxima and mimima, i.e. the turning points.
But these are deceptive: they are not placed where you can place a meaningful trade using this system. You can only know (in realtime) if the ind is rising or falling a bar later in every case. It wouldn't be difficult to set 'ShowAroows' to false and then code in sometime 'realtime' valid' arrows in a strategy.
This sort of thing can be a trap when things look better than they seem!
