Higher High / Lower Low Detection

I've browsed through this forum but I didn't find an indicator that automatically detects if a higher high / lower low has been made after a strategy signal (irrespective of the strategy).

The indicator should look for the last Swing High / Low "Swing No.1" and compare it to the Swing High / Low before that "Swing No.2". If "Swing No.1" is higher / lower than "Swing No.2", then a new high / low has been made and the condition is set to true.

If someone is aware of an indicator that resembles the above description I'd very much appreciate if he/she could let me know.

I've looked into the indicator you're mentioning and it certainly is useful, but it's not what I'm looking for. I need an indicator that can tell me whether the last Swing High/Low is higher/lower than the one before that or not, thus signalling the continuation of a trend or the beginning of a range.

I use a trend line and go for the 3rd low.
