500 stocks tick by tick calculation

Hi,

I'm trying to program an indicator that calculate 500 stocks simultaneously for the total up tick volume. Is it possible to do using NT?
What data feed you recommend for such heavy duty task?

Yes, it's possible but might not run on today's computers. If you're looking to capture real time volume data on each tick for 500 equities, then this will tax your system considerably.

You will have to look at Data Only providers such as Kinetick (for V7), eSignal, and BarChart to stream this much data. You will have to discuss with them available subscription plans for streaming 500+ symbols.

just a thought: you might try contacting DTN (iqfeed) directly about a "custom scan." It might be more economical and practical than doing it on your own machine.
eSignal and Barchart might offer a similiar service.
