Determine background color

Is there a way to determine the current background color from inside an indicator?

I would like to add code that changes a few colors in the indicator, based on what color background is currently selected for the chart.

I know that I can change a background color on the primary panel from within an indicator, but can I check to see what color the chart already is?

This is technically outside of the scope of support we generally offer, however, as a hint you could do something like...

if (ChartControl.BackColor ==Color.Black)
Do something;
