Audible Alert with Replay Data?

I use Playsound() in an indicator for a trading alert. Works great in real-time. If Playsound() and Alert() can't be used to create an audible alert with replay/historical data, is there an alternative method or workaround?

This should still work in Market Replay, have you tried it?

Aside from that, you may want to consider a drawing object to indicate when conditions are met for your sound, or perhaps a Print() statement with a time stamp.

Thank for the quick response. I am using Playsound in conjunction with Drawuparrow and drawdownarrow. I haven't actually tried it with Market replay yet. I was just setting the indicator up and getting the audible alert to work using real time data first.

It was in the Ninjatrader 6.5 tutorial that it states that Playsound and Alert do not work with historical data and so I thought I might better change my audible alert approach if necessary. What is the definition of historical data? Is it different than the saved data used with Market replay?

The historical data is data that is saved or accessed to populate, for example, a charts data from the past.

The Market Replay uses separate data (recorded from the past) that is stored for the the purpose of playing the data as if in real time.
