    reference axis for plots

    Hello,

I have a plot which displays as Bar style.

I'd like to change the reference axis of the bar from 0 to something else.

    Exemple :
    plot series values : 2 - 4 - 3 - 4
    axis reference values : 10 - 10 - 20 - 10
    plot values : 12 (10+2) - 14 - 23 -14

Can you explain to me how to achieve this light mod ? Thank you.

    Hi SARdynamite,

My apologies if this is not what you're looking for, please clarify if not.

    In this tutorial...

The plot index is used to set min/max values for each of the plots.

Hum thank you but not quite.

In your example, you can plot a 10 value and by setting a minimum treshold to 4 it will show 10-6 but I guess that in the DataBox, the value displayed will still be 10.

What I'd like to do on the other hand, is to plot a 6 value above 4. The visual will be the same, I'll see 6 starting from 4 also. But in the data box, it will display 6, not 10 ...

That's really plotting from a different threshold, not 0 like usual but a custom double, int or DataSeries.

        Hi SARdynamite,

Correct, the plot min/max will set the min max values to be plotted, so a min value of 4, would only plot values larger than or equal to 4. You may need to simply include some addition or subtraction to you values to see them as you are seeking.

Yes I could do that but my aim was not to overcharge the DataBox with unfiltered values I don't need.

Can you plot something and don't make it appear inside the DataBox ?

            Hi SARdynamite,

Yes, with NinjaTrader 7, if the plot is set to Tranparent, you will not see it in the databox.

OK so you cannot display a plot on the chart (color, say yellow) and does not make appear in the databox.

If it is set to transparent, it does not appear on the databox but also it does not appear on the chart.

                Hi SARdynamite,

Correct, in order to have it values display in the databox, they must be plots that are NOT set to transparent. You can not have it transparent on the chart, yet show in the databox.

OK this would have been a great feature.

                  Thank you for your support.
