    Help with IF Statement

    I'm creating an indinactor with an IF statement and am having compile errors.

    The statement is:

    if (macdVal - lowerBand) > 0

    "macdVal" and "lowerBand" are doubles.
    "0" is an INT.

    The compile error is:

    Invalid expression term '>"

    Can someone give me a clue as to why i get this message?
    I'm new to Ninja Trader and C# as a programming language.

    Thanks....

    Taddypole,

    an IF-condition needs to be surrounded by brackets:

    if (macdVal - lowerBand > 0)

    if this still does not compile, then try this:

    if (macdVal - lowerBand > 0.0)

    Regards
    Ralph
