You could look into the StdDev and ATR already installed per default, in a broader sense for example also ADX type indicators.

I did find a couple of indicators that said "historical volatility" ,which is
what I wanted , but all they plot is a straight line . Oh well .

I believe this one specifically needs a good amount of historical data to be useful....
