Error# CS0006

[MoneyChangesEverything]

When I try to compile a custom indicator, I am getting the following error message:

Metadata file 'C:\Program Files(x86)\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\NinjaTrader.Core.dll' could not be found.

Metadata file 'C:\Program Files(x86)\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\WilsonORMapper.dll' could not be found.

Help would be most appreciated

Hello Gary,

Welcome to our forums.

You will have to add references to these files. To do this:
Click Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Indicator
Choose ANY indicator and click OK
From within the compiler:
Right Click and Select References
Click Add

Browse to the locations indicated by the message. You'll have to add each reference below:
'C:\Program Files(x86)\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\NinjaTrader.Core.dll'
'C:\Program Files(x86)\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\WilsonORMapper.dll'

I did this but my install directory does not have the same name as the default i.e. Ninjatrader 6.5.

My install directory is simply Ninjatrader.

I deleted everything and re-installed using the default directory and now things are working correctly.
