Andrew's Pitchfork Line?

What is the purpose of the highlighted line and why doesn't it change color when I set the color of the pitchfork?

I don't know how it is used in real trading, but I suspect it is there so people can see the angle that is being used with the fork from the lines it connects.

I wouldn't mind it so much, but you don't let us set the color and width, so it sticks out like a sore thumb...
