MACD coloured bars

Hi,

I am looking for a standard macd indicator with colour coding.

Let me explain....

I use macd but only display the difference between the macd line and the signal line. This is represented in bar form. What I want is that when the macd line and signal line gap starts to narrow the completed bar is coloured red. When the gap is greater than the previous bar , the bar is coloured blue. Hope this is clear. I have looked on the forum but not found anything. If there is such an indicator out there I would appreciate it if someone can direct me to it.

I have found the following indicator on the forum, the only difference is that the up bar will be colored green, not blue.

Thanks Tim,, sorry, I missed it on the forum. As a matter of interest, do you know of a macd indicator that will do the same with the macd represented as a histogram

I do not know of one specifically like that.

With some light duty coding, you can edit the MACDUpDown indicator to manipulate the MACD line just as the diff. line was manipulated.
