Predict EMA displacement values?

Hello,

I was looking at some indicators, and was impressed with the Displacement option of the EMA. However, as you probably know, a big disadvantage from this use of the EMA that it takes some time before a value is generated (depending on the displacement settings).

I was wondering, is it possible to predict the displacement values for which there is not yet enough data? Can this indicator be adapted in this way? Or do you guys know of any indicator which can do this?

I guess these values from the indicator can be extrapolated into the future, which, given some error variance, can give a glimpse of the future value?

Unfortunately there is no way you can extrapolate that information from a displaced EMA. You would have to recode the indicator and code in what kind of logic you would like to use for the extrapolation directly into the indicator to be able to do this. I am not aware of any publicly shared indicator doing this at this point in time, but feel free to search in the file sharing section of our forums to see if you find anything fitting your needs.
