Plotting difference between two indicators

I'm trying to plot the difference between two indicators, but I get the error, ' Operator '-' cannot be applied to operands....'. CS0018

what is the correct syntax?

Plot0.Set(SMA(close,5) - SMA(Close,2))[0];

any help would be appreciated.

Erin, you would to specify to subtracts doubles from the dataseries objects -

Plot0.Set(SMA(close,5)[0] - SMA(Close,2)[0]);
