Alert only on live data?

Hi, I made an indicator that will generate an alert... it seemed to go off on me when I was looking at historical data that met the criteria.

how can i make it trigger only if data is live realtime data coming in right now?

NinjaCustomer,

If you coded with Alert() those will only trigger in real-time. If you were connected it likely occurred on some streaming data.

thanks, that's what I thought Alert was supposed to do... but...

it definitely triggers for me on historical data...

if I'm at the furthest right possible in the chart, i.e. the live data... and it is under threshold like right now... and I press pgup and hold it, it will eventually trigger the alert as the previous chart pages flash on the screen.

now that I think about it, there is probably no easy solution for this...

Not sure I follow. Suggest you add Print()s in your code to see what is happening under the hood.
