Indicator Name change

I changed the name of one of my indicators and the old name and the new one are both appearing in the indicators list. I noticed that their is an XML files called NinjaTrader.custom.xml . The new name and the old name are both present in that file several times. Could you give me an explanation of this file and whether it is autogenerated or user editable. If it is auto generated how can I remove the indicator that doesn't exist.

When you go Save As you just saved a new copy. You have to go and delete the old version if you don't want it any more.

In the future you should never manipulate the files manually. You will want to recompile your NinjaScript now to reflect the changes.

From the control panel I went to edit indicators and then selected one and clicked delete. I later opened a chart and the deleted indicator was still present in the indicators list.

Hmm - please open any indicator, press F5 to recompile all scripts and then recheck the indicators list on the charts.
