James, sorry I don't follow - Range charts are built using tick data as base data...

basically if we use an indicator on range chart 1 and then we use the same indicator another range chart 2 which has a bigger range, how do we then use these two indicators in a strategy? is this possible?

I want to run a ADX indictor on two range charts one range is bigger than the other, this is fine i can do this, HOWEVER I want to be able to use both the ADX from chart one and the ADX indicator from chart 2 in one strategy you see?

How do I do this?

A Multiseries strategy would help you here, as you can run the ADX with input data from both charts in it, add your timeframes to the strategy and then use for example BarsArray to calculate the ADX on those - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...BarSeries.html

so can you actually use the range bars on the chart to run the ADX indicator on by adding them both to a bars array? or is it only the minute bars you can add? ideally i would like to run my indicators on the bars from the range chart

You can run the strategy for example on 4 Period Range bars, add a 2 Period Range bars chart in the strategy code, and then calculate the ADX indicator on each bars array.
