BackColor help

I'm trying to customize the back color and can't seem to get it to work. I tried the sample code snipet;

BackColor = SMA(20)[0] >= Close[0] ? Color.Maroon : Color.LimeGreen;

This works fine, but if I try to substitute the "Close[0]" with an indicator value like this;

BackColor = SMA(63)[0] > SMA(63)[21] ? Color.Maroon:Color.LimeGreen;

It stop working. Any explanation or work around for this?

make sure you have enough bars.
in the above case you should add:
if (CurrentBar < 21) return;
