    Macd?

Can anybody explain to me why the metatrader´s MACD is different from Ninjatrader?
With same values the plot is different.

    Thanks in advance

If you get the same values, the underlying formula is ok. You can of course change the visual aspects to arrive at the 'style' of the screenshot you've shown.

      macd

Sorry i mean with same values (12,26,9) , not the signal values.
The histogram in ninja is positive and in metatrader is negative.

Ok, some ideas where differences could stem from -

        1. Is this exactly the same chart data source and identical lookback period, most likely not...

        2. We're using EMA to compute the MACD - not sure what yours uses...some do use SMA's

        3. You could miss data, so for NinjaTrader I suggest right clicking in the chart and reloading the data to be sure all available is present.

Looks to me the Ninja histogram is plotting the difference the Macd line and the average of Macd and the Meta histogram is simply the Macd line itself plotted as a histogram or bar . Two different things entirely .

Bertrand it´s all identical, but is possible T2020 is right.
In this case, any idea or formula to plot this?

            Thanks to all

If you want ninja to look like Meta , then edit the ninja Macd by making the histogram transparent and changing the Macd line to a bar type plot . All done in the edit indicator dialog box . hth's
