3 coding questions

Sorry to put a three in one question, but I am having problems carrying out the following:

1. Is it possible to change the colour of the price bar dynamically, e.g. have the price displayed as a line, and have one segment displayed one colour if one of my criteria is true and another segment a second colour if a second criteria is true?

2. Is it possible to have two vertical scales on an indicator, one on the left one on the right, since the indicators I want to view have largely differing ranges ones in 1 - 6 the is 100- 1000's? I know that the easiest way to do this would be to just display two indicators, but I thought I would ask

3. Is it possible to put text into the data window? The reason I ask is that I am using the data window to display the contents of a structure that I am using to check on the calculation of the indicator and some of the data held within is string based.

Any help that you can give would be gratefully received.

Hello,

1) You state 'bar' then talk about 'line' so I'm not sure what you need/want, but it sounds like you want a line that changes color. You can't do this without programming. Here is one way to do it: build an indicator that plots on the close of each bar then build a color change into that indicator line via this link:

3) By data window do you mean the data box? If so, this is not supported. You can draw data on the panels though:

Thanks for your help, you were right it was the line that I needed to change colour. The coding shed light onto the bits I was missing.

I am not sure which link Ben was trying to show, but to get information into the Data Box it has to be a plot. Only plots are shown and if you stored your information in there, then you can show it.
