    what is the meaning of return of Slope()?

    Hi. I ran Slope(SMA(21),4,0), and it returns in output window: -0.0489417989417941

    what does it mean?

    also if I change the vertical scale of the chart, the slop of a line changes. Does that affect the return of Slope(), too?

    From the slope reference page: "The slope is a measure of the steepness of a line. This is the calculation of rise over run and not to be confused with linear regression slope."

    Rise is the change in y value (price), and run is the change in x value (measured in bars).

    slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) = (price2 - price1) / (endBarNumber - startBarNumber)

      Thanks. I think this explanation is much clearer. I suggest putting this into the reference.

        Note. These are radians and NOT degrees.
