Trying to write a 'divergence' indicator

Need to write an indicator that compares the slope of two moving averages.

If the indicator is positive then the faster moving average is leading the slower one.

I need to determine if a moving average or is headed up or down.
But Best way to do this ?

Create another average of that indicator (2 period) and that has a positive or negative value,

or just computer the prior value to the current value?

Can I create an indicator of an indicator?

DancesWithBears, you surely could create indicators running on indicators, as most of them accept a DataSeries object as input series.

But for your need, Rising() and Falling() should do it -
