Not equal to "multiple arguments"

I have a situation where an if statement with multiple arguments is behaving unexpectedly. As example, where you wanted to discard any bar that does not have the currentbar's high being higher than the prior two bars and the currentbar's high being higher than one of the third or fourth prior bars, would the below code work? If not why?

if (!(High[0] > High [1] && High[0] > High [2] && (High[0] > High [3] || High[0] > High [4])))

return;

The code I working on is more complex than simple "High" values but the structure is the same. I've printed to the output window and the if statement is behaving unexpectedly.

As always any assistance would be appreciated.

Shannon, have you checked the individual parts of your nested if- statement hitting home as you would expect? To access the current developing bar, you would need to run this on CalculateOnBarClose = false.
