    Compare Price To Index

I'm attempting to replicate the "Compare To Index" functionality common on many stock price websites.

Creating a new indicator, defining a Dataseries and exposing it as a property seems straightforward.

My question is, how do I explicitly retrieve the data for a particular instrument, like ^SP500, regardless of the instrument for which the chart is being drawn?

(Note: I'm fluent in C#, but pretty new to NT)

Fred, welcome to our forums - for this you would need to use a MultiInstrument strategy in NinjaTrader 6.5 - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...struments.html

MultiSeries charting and Indicators will be supported with NinjaTrader 7 - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/NT7/NinjaTrader7.html

Thanks for the quick and accurate response to what this newbie should have found by searching the Helpfile.

The NT extensibility via .Net interfaces is very powerful.

Looking forward to creating a systematic base for trading and also contributing to the NT customizing community.
