    Swing Hi/Lo adaptation?

    Just a modest request...

Is there anyone around who could mod the default Swing Hi/Lo indie (attached) to only show the last swing (hi and lo)? That is, as opposed to plotting all the swings back through the whole chart.

And also, have the plot just keep on plotting until price hits it (to keep the plot near the action).

I guess such an indie woud be called a "Last Hi/Lo" indie...

I'd do it myself... but I've no idea how.

    Greatly appreciated if possible.

As a last resort you can also try one of the 3rd party NinjaScript Consultants here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/pa...injaScript.htm

      An example

Here's a screenshot mock up I made, if it helps.

So the plots just stay there until they're taken out by price.

      Cheers.

        5iver,
I don't know if you are still interested in this but maybe this will help. I've added drawrays to the swing indicator and it shows a certain number at a time as data comes in. I left the original code intact so you will still see the original swings. The only thing that wasn't done was removing the plots when price hit them. Happy trading.

I've attached an image. Please keep in mind the original swing levels are still there for comparison. I added the rays but the code will only show 11 at a time or the amount you specify in parameters. The idea is first drawn ray in- first drawn ray out. Lastly, the other part of the request, which was for the line to disappear when price touch it, I did not do. I'm really not a programmer.
Oh, rt6176 said in another post that the swing indicator is a memory hog. So keep that in mind when analyzing it.

Thank you for the pic+advice- much clearer now !
I think its really helpful to detect clusters + be aware of older swinglevels. (supp/res) - especialy in short intraday-timeframes where the chart is running out of the window.

                Hi Jabez,

Do you have a nonlinear regression, cubic regression or Akima spline to share ?

                thank you so much,

                Carlos
