Poll: What is the best indicator?

Lets assume we look at a 3 min e-mini S&P chart (24 hours) and just trade from 8 am till 4 pm (ET)

what is the best indicator for:
trend
momentum
timing
trailing stops
final target

Has someone backtested several indicators and can share his information with us?

my favorites are:
trend: supertrend or simply a 50 sma
momentum: 5 ema and 8 ema
timing: zero lag stochastic
trailing stops: atrtrailing
final target: camarilla pivots

Check out the "slingshot" with a setting of 50 sma and 20 ema for trend and the premier stoch set on 8 and 3 and see what you think

I use the Midas and Fib. Bands (based on a 21 EMA) indicators.

They are only secondary in my decisions though, and used only to support patterns (such as ABCD) found with the following:
1. Fibs (for retrace/entry/exit targets)
2. Trend lines (to support Fibs)
3. Pivots (to support trend lines)

I've never heard of "Midas" I don't see anything called "Midas" in the available indicators. Where can I check it out?

yeah, Roonius just posted in another thread that the .zip file contains a I-Midas indicator. I just tried it, and the 'I-Midas' does work intraday.

Good news...I may just drop StockFinder now.

Leading indicators for NinjaTrader

The bottom line is leading indicators will provide more useful signals than traditional lagging indicators. I have a few leading indicators of my own I can't share here, but the Linear Regression Slope is a much more responsive indicator which is included in NinjaTrader's default indicator toolbox.
