    Hello David,

The TICK is not supported as indicator, but as instrument providing your data feed provider supports the data.

Go to Tools-->Instrument Manager and add the ^TICK index to your default instrument list.

            Hello stinger,

No, Zen-Fire only supports futures data as you can see at the link below.

It clearly shows that ZEN has Historical Tick Data.
Why would you say that it does not?

(BTW I don't know whether they do or not)

                Hello Gabe2004,

In reference to the content of this thread I interpreted "does zen have tick?" as, does Zen-Fire provide TICK index (Nyse) data.

As you can see in the link, Zen-Fire only supports futures data and no index data; it supports historical tick and minute futures data.

                  TICK within a strategy

If I were doing a strategy that said if Tick were greater than -800 or -1000 go long on SPY or /ES .. How would I write this code?

How do I make a trading condition based on the value on the Tick.

                  Thank you for your help.

                    alston77,

You would need to use Multi-Instrument programming for your strategy so that you can run your calculations on the ^TICK index and submit the orders to the underlying instruments that you have added.

Please see the link below for more information and starting programming for Multi-Timeframe and Instruments -
