If somebody knows what the commercials are when it comes to the cot report, he will know that they anticipate the behaviour of the commodity. When they're selling a lot and reverse their position it's near a minimum. And viceversa. But we have that information only for commodities (www.cftc.com). With this indicator I've just developed, it can be known that information in wathever product (index, future, commodity, equity....).
Take a look first at the SP500 (weekly bars) with the large positions indicated:

and then take a look at the daily bars where in this case we indicate the short positions:

Obviously, you can open large or short in both.
