Performance Question

I use

DrawLine("H2a" + CurrentBar + i, 1, startPrice, 0, startPrice, Color.Yellow,DashStyle.Solid,2);

on the FirstTickOfBar to draw numerous lines on my charts.

With only 4 charts open and a DOM, Ninja periodically (not necessarily on the first tick of new bars) will grab all of a CPU and will also freeze up for a while.

I have it running on a dual'core with 2GB, XP PRO, Net 2.0 and nothing else running.

Would you expect this behaviour? Any tips for enhancing Indicator performance - particularly line drawing ?

Also I would suggest using the maximum amount of RAM your system supports.

Freezing On Startup

I do also have the same problem with Ninjatrader.

It freezes 1 out of 3 times whenever I open the software.

It just says NOT RESPONDING.

Is it better to have the Default Workspace BLANK (to reduce needed resources) and then OPEN a workspace with my charts on it?

Hi Pedro, please go to Tools > Options > Misc and Repair your DB.

Next please exit NinjaTrader and go to the MyDocuments > NinjaTrader 6.5 > workspaces folder. Now delete your Default.xml workspace file.

Now restart NinjaTrader - does it startup faster now without freezing?
