How can I go about modifying the NetChange column for the market analyzer to have a look back of 5 so it gives me a weekly net change output?

Hello Conceptzx,

The market analyzer net change column works based on the current market price and the market data event LastClose which does not have historical data to look back for past days. To be able to look back on previous days you would need to use an indicator that can load bar data but that would also change its calculation.

In an indicator you could do a similar calculation but you would need to modify it in some ways. if you wanted to be able to look back at past days you would need to use the bar close prices rather than lastclose prices. You would also have to come up with the equation you wanted to use for the 5 prices that would be included, the net change column only deals with 1 lastclose price in its equation. You could potentially use a weekly bar for this purpose to simplify the equation back to 1 close price but that would include a full 7 days for the week instead of a lookback of 5 days.
