Indicator or strategy?

If I wanted to plot a colored marker on a 500 VOL price chart every time the %D of my 1min chart hit 100 or 0...

a) is that possible?
b) would I need an indicator or a strategy?

Ideally, the marker would appear on/near the appropriate Bollinger band (upper or lower)

I only want it for visual reference.

I think he was asking if it should be done as an indicator or a strategy...I have the same question...other than the automated trading possibilities of a strategy, what would the diff between and indicator and a strat if you wanted o paint some stuff on a chart?

Thanks for your post.

This should be possible from an indicator, you will need to setup your two conditions (Stochastic and Bollinger Bands) accordingly and then change the BarColor to your liking.

Painting generally can be done from indicators and strategies, but usually indicators are used for that purpose.
