Modify color of text object

If the tag of a text object is known, is it then possible to change the color without having to redraw the object?

I place texts on my screen on certain locations and would like to dynamically change the color if certain events happen. It would be nice if I can do that without having to keep track of the location (if I redraw I need to remember the location).

Unfortunately you will have to redraw.

Just redraw the object with a different color, by referring to it by its tag.
