Custom Order Data Ability?

Has anyone figured out a way to store custom data with an Order submission?

Properties UserData, OnBehalfOf are internal use only. And using the Name property requires the value "Entry" when interacting with ATM.


Is there a workaround for this?

Hi MarkWise, thanks for posting.

I submitted your feature request, but you can also use a custom data structure that would include an order object plus any extra data you want to store. E.g. a custom class with an Order property and a string property, then you can make a List<T> or a Dictionary<T, T> of that custom class. I found an example of a list of class instances here:

Thanks Chris for the quick response. That's the approach we are working on. I was just hoping to take advantage of NT's built-in order persistence.

(When NT recompiles, or NT is shut down/re-launched, we need to handle the persistence of our custom data.)

You can save the data to a .txt file on State.Terminated to save data on custom orders. We have an example here:
