Creating an indicator from an indicator instructions

I want to create an indicator from an indicator but dont know how is the right process. Say I want to create a stochastics of CCI.
Is there a tutorial or help file that describes how to create indicators for indicators?

Ray, Thanks, I followed the tutorial creating a VolSMA and came out with the code attached,
when i insert it as an indicator in a volume bars pane i get a flat line.
Please help. Thanks

The code in OnBarUpdate() sets the indicator value to the close price of the bar. I would review the tutorial again since its missing the critical code for the SMA of volume.
