Return code from Indicatore

Hi,

Hope this is the right forum. I've developed an indicator that I would like to use in a strategy, but I don't understand how to return a value the strategy can test. My indicator only returns a yes/no, enter or don't enter. When I tried putting it into a strategy, it would only let me test it against a numeric value or a user defined variable.

So my question is, what do I have to set in my indicator that the strategy can test for?

I suggest setting a plot value to 1 when true and 0 when false, then you can check the indicator for either of these values to determine if their is a signal. You can check out the NBarsUp indicator source that comes with NinjaTrader as a code example of this approach.
