indicator(s) to confirm reversal after price spike

I am trying to determine what would be a good indicator (combination of indicators) to "confirm" reversal after a sudden spike (up OR down) in price. I trade ES and NQ, intraday/scalping, 1-5 minute candles. And obviously volume would also be a factor. Can either be existing well-known indicators or a custom indicator.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks AlanP and Lancer. Very helpful. A "candlestick pattern indicator" is something I'd thought about. Maybe also combined with a volume oscillator. I'll check into those.
