    Using ROC and a DataSeries

    Hello there,

    I have searched the forums but was unable to find a solution that works for my issue.
    In NT7, I am trying to use the ROC Indicator, with a custom data series called sMa.

    Example:

    Instead of:
    ROC(EMA(10), period)[0];

    Use:
    ROC(sMa[0], period)[0];

    However, I get a compile error that says: Argument 1: cannot convert from "double" to Ninja...IDataSeries.
    I have declared, initialized, set, etc in the appropriate areas.

    Example:
    private DataSeries sMa;

    sMa = new DataSeries(this);

    public DataSeries IsMA
    {
    get { return sMa; }
    }

    What can I put instead of sMa[0] in the ROC Indicator?

    Thank you

    Hello ij001,

    Thank you for your post.

    The issue is that you need to pass it the whole data series, and sMa[0] is just one value of that series. Try passing sMa instead:

    ROC(sMa, period)[0];

    Please let us know if we may be of further assistance to you.
