Changing the input series for an indicator
The chart has two panels: 1-minute charts of NQ and ^TICK. (I am using the NYSE TICK, rather than the NQ cumulative tick.) Tried putting bands on the TICK. The indicator comes up with NQ as the input series, so I went to the parameters to change it. Clicking on the block at the right of the input series brings up NQ and ^TICK as options, but clicking on ^TICK has no effect. What's going on? How do I fix it?
Thanks.Tags: None

Thanks for your help. Sorry not to get back to you sooner. That's NT8, isn't it? I am trying to do it in NT7. When I try to change the input series, it offers a list of indicators or the usual OHLC, etc., for NQ. It doesn't accept other input. Is there a way to accomplish this in 7, or must I switch to NT8? Thanks again.

Hello PBreen,
Thanks for your reply.
You are absolutely correct and I will change the screenshot to NT7, sorry about that.
The process is exactly the same. When you click in the "input series" selection you should see the box with ..., left click on that to open the "Input series" window and it will show Indicators, NQ 12-19 and ^Tick (assuming you have added ^Tick to the chart) and then select ^Tick and choose "close" data series. Please see attached screenhot.
