    Divergence line plotting?

    Hi,

I use Ensign Windows charting software as a supplement to Ninja. They have a study called simply "Divergence" which will identify and plot divergences (as lines) between price and an indicator of the user's choosing (In the example attached it's between price and the %D of a stochastic, but it could just as easily be the %K or any other active indicator property).

Is there anything like this available for Ninja, and if not, is it feasible to do? How might a non-coder like myself initiate getting such a thing scripted?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello,

There is a divergence indicator in this forum under file sharing>indicators.

Thank you Ben, I'd already messed with that when I posted but it just seemed too cryptic -- I couldn't make it do what I need, which is to plot sloping lines between divergent peaks on price and indicator properties... I will of course revisit it and see if there's something I missed first time.

      Thanks

        Hello,

I know what you are looking for, and I have not seening it on our forum and I do not have one.

The indicator I sent you to does not plot the lines, only dots when something diverges.

I think all that one does is plot dots where it sees divergences. If I recall, that code should retain a history of the highs and lows that created the divergence. If you know that, you should be able to call DrawLine() between the appropriate endpoints.

            Hello,

Yes, the indicator is possible to create, it just hasn't been posted on the forum yet that I know of.
