Can a Chart Indicator Access a Strategy
Is it possible for a custom indicator that is added to a chart to access a strategy that is also running on that chart? Indicator.Strategy appears to be null. My guess is because it is not added to the chart from the strategy. I need to access a 3rd party strategy and send performance results to a database. I cannot change the code of the strategy. Thanks!Tags: None

Hello thomaspartyof10, thanks for your post.
It is not possible to access a strategy instance from an indicator, you would need to pass the data to a "middleman". See this post I made a while ago on implementing a custom class with a property changed event that other scripts can subscribe to:
If your strategy changed the property, then other scripts subscribed to the event will be notified.
Kind regards.
