Need Help With Volume Indicator

How do I create/set indicator like in the picture?

Thanks for writing in to our Support team and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support forum!

This appears to be the VOL indicator with a 6 period SMA overlayed on top of it.

You would need to add both of these indicators to your chart from the indicator menu by right clicking on your chart and selecting Indicators --> then find VOL and SMA and change the SMA period to 6 and add them to your chart.

Once they are added onto your chart, select the SMA line and then drag and drop it on top of the VOL indicator to overlay it. You can hold the shift key and use your mouse scroll wheel to adjust the Z order, to choose whether the SMA plot is painted in front or behind of the VOL histogram.

I followed exactly your suggestion; However, SMA is calculated for the price of the instrument and not Volume.

I want SMA to be calculated (and displayed) for previous 6 Volume bars, also whenever any volume bar exceeds 1.618 times average volume of previous 6 bars, it should be displayed in different color or by some marker. The attached image displaying exactly, what I want.

You may plot the SMA based on the VOL indicator by right mouse clicking in your chart >Indicators >select SMA >under Input Series >select Indicators >VOL >OK.

Unfortunately, there is not a preinstalled indicator in NinjaTrader 7 that would plot the markers.
