    finding missing days on a chart

    Is there a way to find out if there missing days on a chart. Ninjatrader doesn't chart weekends or long weekends. I have a truncation on my drawing because of the weekends and longweekends missing. I am drawing a fib line and because of the new years 30 , 31 and the 1 is missing so my lines truncate

    Hello ballboy11,

    Thanks for your question.

    You could check the TradingHours template for holidays and you can also use a SessionIterator to identify a next available session.

    For example, Holidays can be looped through and checked if the current day is a holiday, or if some day in the future is a holiday.
    Code:
    foreach(KeyValuePair<DateTime, string> holiday in TradingHours.Holidays)
    {
    	if(holiday.Key.Date != Time[0].Date)
    		Print("Today is not a holiday.");
    }
    Depending on your implementation, it may be useful to create a check similar to this in a custom Timer event since there would not be any data iterating on a holiday.

    I've included publicly available documentation on the items discussed and an example using a custom timer.

    Please let us know if you have any questions.
