serialization issue

I got this error
Indicator Ninjatrader.Indicator.MyIndicator could not be serialized. Please refer help for more information on serializing indicators.

My indicator works. All I was trying to do was to save it in a template and this is the error I recieved

Thank you for the post.

A Serialization error comes specifically when an item cannot be saved, this is commonly seen when you create custom public properties with objects that cannot be directly saved to XML like a Color. I would suggest reviewing your public properties and ensure that all complex objects like Colors follow the example shown at the above link.

yes thank you i had to private my List. I was trying to access my list publicly and failed. thankyou for your help
