Hi, I'm accessing the BarsPeriod.Id field to display the chart type from which I'm running my indicator. The value that is displayed is "Custom9" as I'm using a 3rd party bar type. Can I access the actual name of this custom bar type that appears in the Data Series "Period ... Type" section? tx

Thanks for opening the thread.

I know that this can be done with by looking for BarsPeriodTypeName in NinjaTrader 8, but I do not know a way that this can be referenced in NinjaTrader 7.

There also is not any documentation I could show that demonstrates a supported way to get the actual name of a custom BarType.
