Any way to place the Log file on another disk?

Hi - I'm considering using the Ninja Log file with some scripts I'm developing. I installed NT7 using defaults, so the Log file is on my C: drive. I'd like to have it on a ramdrive, ala R: disk.

Any way to point NT to another drive just for the log file? I would like to leave the installed code on the C: drive and move only the Log file.

Yes, you sound like you know what you are doing so I'll be brief.

Remove the trace and log file folders (or rename them if you want to keep the contents).

Create new links (mklink) with /J option and link them to your ramdrive corresponding folder.

Thank you for your post.

The files and folders for NinjaTrader would need to remain on the drive they were installed on. The Log and Trace folders would need to remain in the Documents\NinjaTrader 7 folder for NinjaTrader to write to them.
We would not support any work-arounds to allow for writing the files to an alternate directory than the Documents\NinjaTrader 7 directory.

Yes, I understand this is not officially supported and I'm on my own.

I may not need to do this, but will have to see how it all works out.

I didn't notice any difference in NT8 playback at full speed max. I used imdisk.
