Checking if instrument name is valid.

How can I check if an instrument name is valid in NinjaTrader 7?
    For example
    $AUDUSD is valid
    but $AUDUDS is invalid.

    Hello trader3419,

    Thank you for posting.

You may search for supported instruments/ forex pairs within the Instrument Manager by going to the Control Center >Tools >Instrument manager >search for a instrument or forex pair in the 'Description:' field >Search.

Furthermore NinjaTrader will not allow you to add forex pairs or instruments to your default instrument list that are not supported by your connectivity provider.

For more information I have included the 'Searching for Instruments' section of the NinjaTrader 7 Help Guide below.

    http://ninjatrader[dot]com/support/helpGuides/nt7/?searching_for_instruments[dot]htm

I have also included the publicly available links below on forex spreads and futures commissions. Here you may view forex pairs and other instruments supported by NinjaTrader Brokerage.

    Futures: http://ninjatrader[dot]com/PDF/ninjatrader_futures_commissions[dot]pdf

For more information on commonly traded currencies I have also included NinjaTraders publicly available Forex Basics page below.

        Hello trader3419,

        Thanks for your reply.

You may import a list of stock symbols by going to the Control Center >File >Utilities >Import Stock Symbol List >select 'Load' to open a text file that contains your symbol list or type each symbol into the editor manually >OK to import.

More information may be found using the Importing a List of Stock Symbols link from the NinjaTrader 7 Help Guide below.
